I got my van converted professionally with Born Wild Vans. The team did such a great job on my van conversion! They were able to very quickly identify all of my needs for the van and were able to accommodate for everything that I asked for and more! It was so easy to have a discussion with the team about what I’d like to have incorporated into my van, and the guys also came up with their own additional suggestions and advice based on their experience of what works best! My van is quite small but they really helped me to get the most out of the space. It was both functional and also beautifully designed! I was so happy with the final conversion! The communication was great and so easy, with regular updates provided. The turnaround was amazing. The van was converted in a matter of around three months which was much quicker than I was expecting. Everything was above and beyond my expectations and so happy with my wee camper 😊. I had been searching for a company to build me a van for quite a while. I was looking for something specific, and catered for my needs and the fact that I have 2 dogs that come everywhere with me. I couldn't find anyone that was interested in doing an entirely bespoke build, until I spoke to Daniel and David. They said yes to all my wacky ideas and built me the van of my dreams. I live in Northern Ireland and David brought it over and delivered it to my door and showed me how to work all the gadgets inside. Afterwards, on my first trip, Daniel was my technical support, always there at the end of a whatsapp message. I had a really short snag list after being in the van for a few weeks, and Dan and Dave sorted them all out in a matter of hours. From sourcing the van, building it, delivering it, to helping me when I got stuck on my first trip, Dan and Dave have be superb and the quality of the build is on another level. Lovely finishing touches that I hadn't even thought about, but they did - and they included them. Even though I was in a different country, I got regular updates in the form of pictures and videos to show me the progress and we had regular Zoom calls to go discuss options or answer any questions I had. The distance wasn't an issue, so its not something that you need to worry about, if you aren't close to their workshop. You will still be part of the build process and you will still get to see progress on your van. If you are looking to get a van built, you need to speak to Dan and Dave, especially if you are looking something a little different. They were keen to get involved in something different and that enthusiasm lasted for the whole build. On a personal note, they are lovely, helpful and friendly guys, a real pleasure to work with - although lets face it - they did the heavy lifting on the work side! I will be continue to keep in touch with the guys as I want them to do some after care for me moving forward, check seals and connections etc - things do shake loose and seals do get old and crack. You never know, I may at some point come with another wacky idea that I want to implement - and I know they won't run away! Once to speak to them, you will know how passionate they are about what they do, and you will know that they will deliver exactly what you want to a standard that will exceed your expectations. My expectations were blown out of the water - I could not have asked for more. I've included some photos, so you can see some of the various stages of the build. I have spent over half a year trying to find someone who could help me with some odd jobs on my converted van that I am unable to do myself, such as installing swivel seats, waste water drainage, and changing the roof vent. Thankfully I found BornWildVans. The team were more than happy to help and they made the entire process seamless, from booking in to getting the work done. The team at Born Wild were fab - Dave was quick to get in touch and get me squeezed in for an ongoing problem I was having with my self-conversion. Fixed within the day too! Great, speedy service - they'll be my go to for van repairs from now on. Highly recommended.

David and his team were absolutely fantastic! My van “bear” took longer than anticipated to complete, but it was totally worth the wait. The team really listen to my brief I wanted a van that was hand built and beautiful but in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. David and his team completely hit my brief to the very last detail finding hand-painted tiles, beautiful reclaimed wood and eco friendly materials for every step of the design.

From the exquisitely carved star and moon to the perfect little stove with a bespoke hand built surround - attention to detail was key.

I particularly commend the Born Wild team for being willing to listen to feedback at the end of the build and tweak those things that didn’t entirely work for me. This is something that, for me, made all the difference and turned my beautiful Bear into an absolute “triumph” thank you team and thank you particularly Calum for your exquisite woodworking ability!

Absolutely delighted with our van conversion! Working with David and Daniel felt very much a co-design process - they listened to our ideas, suggested many of their own, found solutions, shared what they thought would work, adjusted if need be. We had a fairly clear idea of what we wanted before we came along and the two improved on this in every way. As sea kayakers, hill walkers and cyclists we needed storage space, but also wanted social space - with max comfort, function and style. Can’t wait for our adventures with our van!

The Team at Born Wild are complete professionals from start to finish. I got in touch with them with a short lead time and a hard deadline due to setting off on a trip. I had initially planned to do the full build myself aside from a few of the more technical bits, as I feel is often the way though, time escaped me and my deadline was rapidly approaching with little time to work on her. From the first conversation with Dave I knew these guys were the ones for the job. Being realistic about the work that could be carried out in the available time with comittments to other builds etc but also super positive and viosionary attitude from the outset. We discussed my vision ans Dave gave his expert advice on what might work and what could maybe work better. The lovely thing was that I felt Dave saw the vision I had for the van and rather than say no to things, made suggestions on the basis of his experience as to how it may work more practically. Dave and the team produced a beautifully crafted, tranquil space where the attention to detail is really evident. Not only this the build feels sturdy, durable, functional. All for an extremely reasonable price. I could not recommend the Born Wild guys more highly. On top of which they are really sound blokes and it was always a pleasure having a chat with them and seeing how enthusiastic they were to craft beautiful spaces for others to enjoy.

Excellent team to deal with. Always open to new ideas. Genuinely interested in customer design and features – stain glass sliding windows in the bulkhead…of course; sliding trays in the garage…no problem; non standard toilet – never done it before but we’ll work it out. Good at recognising the customer’s style and suggesting small details/finishes in keeping. Their dedication and enthusiasm to make the van build one of quality, and as unique as the customer, is evident through out. They were very willing to work in partnership when there were some aspects we wanted to undertake ourselves e.g. decorating and tiling.

A joy to work with the team, and although we feel we’ve got the van we’ve always dreamed of, we wouldn’t hesitate in working with them again should we ever decide to build a second one.

We could not be happier with the end result on our van. We toured Europe for 8 weeks with not a single problem. The whole team did a remarkable job. And the attention to detail on everything is excellent. With the help of David we designed the inside and David was fantastic at keeping us up to date with the progress of the build. I would 100% recommend Bornwild Vans.

David is an absolute legend! He went above and beyond to help us with all elements of our conversion! We were working with a tight budget and he really bent as much as he could to what we wanted with the time and money we had. It was great working with David and Wilf. We'd owned a T5 conversion so had an idea of what we wanted when stepping up to the 'big league' with our Boxer xlwb van. While we knew broadly the layout we were after, working with these two experts helped clarify things for us and both David and Wilf were really good at sharing their expertise and ideas. How do we get what we want into the space we had?

Weekly videos kept us in touch with progress and there were never any problems. Both fantastic guys to work with and the end result is a quality conversion admired by everyone who has seen it. Thank you so much for making our van conversion adventure so easy and satisfactory.

We got a full custom built van conversion through Bornwildvans. Throughout the process whenever we had an idea or suggestion (such as ways to make the van as friendly as possible to our dog), David listened, thought about it, and came back with well considered great ideas for how to make it work. This means we’ve got a van which is brilliantly tailored to us, as well as looking amazing and is really enjoyable to spend time in. We’re delighted with it, and we’re really glad we took the plunge and got a tailor made conversion rather than buying an existing van!

David did our full custom-built campervan conversion for us 100% remotely due to COVID. He was professional, polite and thorough. He managed the whole conversion from start to finish, getting electricians, certified gas engineers and mechanics to work on the van as needed. Dave really helped to envision our project and has amazing ideas of how to make the most of the confined space. His attention to detail, workmanship and choice of materials was excellent. A very friendly, polite and professional chap too!

We approached David to give our van build a much needed push. He lined the van with new plywood after it was insulated and constructed a two-level bed that he helped design. The quality of David's work is exceptional and he was great at offering lots of advice and suggestions on many aspects of the build.
