Trainee campervan builder joiner/carpenter

Part or full time positions available

Salary depends on skills and experience, though full training will be given

Job description

Assist with all aspects of the campervan conversion process including but not limited to: 

• Cleaning and preparing vehicles for the conversion process
• Insulating, lining and sound deadening vehicles 
• Installing ventilation and solar panels
• Preparing vehicles for electric installs
• Installing heating and plumbing 
• Installing flooring
• Manufacturing and fitting, seating, beds, kitchens and bathrooms
• Effectively communicating with other teams members and customers
• Safe working at heights
• Manual handling
• Safe and correct use of PPE
• Safe and correct use of power tools
• General cleaning, repairs and maintenance
• Driving business and customer vehicles
• Completing weekly timesheets

Job requirements

• Punctuality and tidy appearance
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good grasp of basic carpentry processes such as preparing and cutting timber, use of hand tools and a measuring tape, fixing methods and joints 
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools effectively and safely
• Ability to keep a work station clean and tidy
• Secondary education equivalent to GCSE in maths and English
• Experience in a customer facing role preferred
• Drivers license
